Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, and two lawmakers, Senator Duro Faseyi and Iboro Ekanem, are to attend this year’s 9jaSAFE Award scheduled for September 15 in Lagos.

The event, organised by Safety Record Newspaper, will have Sterling Bank, MTN Nigeria, Business Con-tracting Limited, BCL, and other organisations receiving awards.

According to 9jaSAFE Award’s Chief Coordinating Officer, Mr. Femi Da-Silva, the award was initiated to honour organisations and individuals that have achieved safety in excellence within their work environment and operating communities.

Da-Silva, who is also the Managing Editor of Safety Record Newspaper, said: “9jaSAFE Award is our contribution towards rewarding initiatives geared towards promoting workplace safety.”
