Ahead of the presidential election, a former federal lawmaker and social critic, Shehu Sani claimed Nigerians have already decided on the candidate to vote for as president.

The statement was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle.

According to Senator Sani, Nigerians are not waiting for direction or directives from their state governors or godfathers on whom to vote for.

He also said those who think otherwise might be deceiving themselves.

The former lawmaker wrote: “Most of the electorate have made up their mind on whom to vote for as their President, they are not waiting for direction or directives from their state governors or godfathers. Those who think otherwise live in the past. Just engage a taxi or bus driver in a discussion.”
