Who Is Jenny Slate’s Husband, Ben Shattuck?

Probably unsurprising to you, Jenny Slate’s husband Ben Shattuck is not a famous actor, nor an actor at all. Shattuck is an author and a painter, as well as a gallery curator for his mother’s gallery, the Dedee Shattuck Gallery. He graduated from Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art, and Planning and subsequently attended the University of Iowa’s Iowa Writers’ Workshop. He even went on to teach fiction at the college, along with teaching fiction again at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. He also lived in Norway to study painting at one point.

So yeah, Shattuck is a very worldly, accomplished guy. Not only that, he’s written books and short stories, including his memoir, “Six Walks.” Not to mention his short story “History of Sound,” is being made into a movie starring “The Crown” and ” Normal People” darlings, Josh O’Connor and Paul Mescal. The story is described as a “gay romance” about two young men, Lionel (Mescal) and David (O’Connor), who want to travel across America during World War I and document “the lives, voices, and music of their countrymen.”
