“I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally,” President Biden shared in a tweet. Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro also spoke out against the violence, stating, “Violence targeted at any political party or political leader is absolutely unacceptable.” Additionally, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg joined in, calling for a violence-free election and acknowledging the news of Trump’s safety.
