“Reign” obviously isn’t a very common name and is hardly used as a name to begin with. It worked for Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, but as she said on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show back in 2019, she wasn’t always settled on the name. Kim and Kourtney told Kimmel (with Khloé there as well) about how they wait a few days after birth to choose or settle on a name for their kids. “I did a week the last time. I would try out a different name on different days. The whole day,” Kourtney shared. “One day, Reign — his name was Preston for one full day.”
Kourtney’s had the name “Reign” on her baby name list since before Mason was born, she told People. And when it wasn’t chosen for her first born, she put it back on the list for Penelope, but with the spelling “Rain,” which went back on the list for Reign when Kourtney thought she was having a girl. However, baby daddy Scott Disick was not really convinced by the name. “I was like, ‘I know in my soul his name is Reign,’ and Scott didn’t believe me,” she told Jimmy Kimmel. “And I was like, ‘No. I know his name is Reign.’ And he’s like, ‘His name is Preston.’ So I was like, ‘Fine. Let’s call him Preston for a day.’ And, it didn’t work out.” So Reign Aston Disick — R.A.D. — he became.
