Ashley and Chris both grew up in small-town Texas where destiny brought them together via one particular athletic event: high school pole vaulting!! Chris immediately fell for Ashley and, after a bit of hard-to-get on her part, it wasn’t long before they were deep in teenage love. When it came time for these high school sweethearts to tie the knot, Ashley imagined an organic event, deep in the heart of…you guessed it!
The Texas Hill Country was our inspiration. I have always enjoyed taking family trips there, so there was no better place to experience the biggest day of our lives than at a place that makes us feel at home. I love things that are organic and real, and Montesino Ranch was that for me.

My favorite memory was the time spent with my dad alone just before the ceremony. Hearing his encouragement as he saw the excitement and the nervousness in my eyes, his calming presence stuck with me. It made walking down the aisle that much more emotional, knowing the man at the end of the aisle had big shoes to fill, yet having no doubt that he was the one for me.

Don’t have a huge guest list! I loved, loved, loved that I was able to enjoy each guest and still relax with my husband and the people who mattered most to me. Take every second in because the day passes by in a flash!
