Mo Salah insists he is comfortable playing anywhere across Liverpool’s attacking line after joining in a £34.3m deal from Roma.

The Egypt international is predominantly a right winger but was also used as a number 10 in Serie A last term.

Salah returns to the Premier League after an ill-fated stint at Chelsea in 2014-15, in which he made just six league starts before going out on loan to Fiorentina.

But he insists he is an improved, more experienced player, versatile enough to play off the left-wing as well.

“Last season with Roma we played five at the back and two strikers; I was a second striker, like a number 10,” he told LFCTV.

“I have played on the right. Sometimes I go on the left. I can play anywhere up front.

“(Liverpool’s front players) played so well last season. Mane played a fantastic season, (Philippe) Coutinho, (Roberto) Firmino, (Adam) Lallana – all of them had a great season last year.

“I have improved 100 percent. Everything (has improved). Even my personality was different. I was a kid (at Chelsea). I was 20 or 21. Now I’m four years older and everything is different. I have lots of experience in three clubs.”

Salah, who scored 19 goals in 39 appearances for Roma last season, insists he watched Liverpool regularly last season and believes the ingredients are there to push for trophies next term.

He said: “Liverpool haven’t won the Premier League for a long time. We have a great team and very good players. I was watching the games last year and everyone was giving 100 percent to win something.

“Everyone can see the coach gives everything. I hope to see that, together, we can give everything to win something for the club, for the supporters and for us.”
