Before departing Katsina state where he spent his Sallah holiday, President Buhari this morning paid a surprise visit to special troops deployed to curb activities of bandits and other criminals in Zamfara and neighboring states under Operations Sharan Daji & Diran Mikiya at their Operational Base at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport, Katsina.
During the meeting, the president charged them to be as ruthless on all the bandits troubling the region. He said Nigeria and Nigerians need peace and so they should double their efforts to rid the nation of all bandits
”As your C-in-C, I want you to be as ruthless as humanly possible, Nigerians deserve some peace” he said
