Peter Obi’s campaign DG loses LG in Ekiti to Tinubu

Director-General of the Labour Party, LP, Presidential Campaign Council, Akin Osuntokun, lost his native local government on Saturday.

The ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, won the presidential election resoundingly in Ekiti West.

The APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu defeated his LP counterpart Peter Obi, who came third.

In results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Local Government Collation Officer, the APC won all 11 wards in the LG.

The party polled 14,516 votes, LP scored 391, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, secured 4,318 and New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP 10.

Ekiti West Local Government Area has its headquarters in Aramoko and comprises Erinijiyan, Okemesi, Isokowa, Egede, Orokuta, Osemo, and Kajola.
