In a bid to enhance its legislative functions, the Oyo State House of Assembly has officially constituted 24 standing committees for the current 10th Assembly. This announcement was made by the Speaker of the Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, during the plenary session held on Thursday.

The House Standing Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy Matters, and State Honors will be led by Hon. Akintunde Olajide, with Hon. Bamidele Adeola serving as the Vice Chairman. This committee will oversee matters related to local government administration, traditional institutions, and state honors. Rasak Mabaje and Peter Ojedokun are also members of this committee.

In addition, the Committee on Special Duties will be chaired by the deputy Speaker, Muhammed Fadeyi, with Sanjo Onaolapo as the Vice Chairman. Gbenga Oyekola, Yusuf Adebisi, Babajide Gabriel, and Peter Ojedokun complete the list of members for this committee.
