Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has actually stopped sponsorship of conference participation for Nigerian speakers.

Executive Secretary, Suleiman Bogoro, informed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that a probe of the intervention was continuous.

The suspension followed the supposed diversion of sponsorship grants provided to speakers to go to regional and worldwide conferences.

Bagoro validated that the examining group was yet to finish its job.

The authorities stated elements and loopholes that triggered leaks are being recognized and will be dealt with.

“The COVID-19 lockdown added to the slow speed of the work however we hope in a matter of a couple of months we will conclude it and we will let you understand the result,” he stated.
