Manchester United have sent a message to Cristiano Ronaldo on the occasion of his 38th birthday.

The Red Devils posted birthday wishes for the Portugal international on social media.

This was despite the former Real Madrid man’s unceremonious exit from Old Trafford.

The iconic player left the club after his contract was terminated following an interview where he lambasted almost everyone at the club.

Ronaldo had two spells at United. The Red Devils used a picture from the forward’s first spell at the club with the message.

“Happy Birthday Cristiano,” the Red Devils, now third in the Premier League table, wrote on their Instagram story.
