r231612 1296x729 16 9 Everton recouped a massive fee for Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku was linked with a move back to Chelsea but chose Manchester United instead and is now a teammate of his friend Paul Pogba. Reports suggest the final price with add-ons could be a new world-record of £90m. Wayne Rooney went the other way in a separate deal.

Alvaro Morata – Real Madrid to Chelsea: £60m

r234551 1296x729 16 9 Alvaro Morata had attracted interest from Man United.

Morata scored 15 goals in 26 appearances for Real Madrid in La Liga last season but wanted a chance to become undisputed first-choice. Antonio Conte gave him that chance.

Benjamin Mendy – Monaco to Man City: £52m

r154798 1296x729 16 9 Benjamin Mendy becomes the world’s most expensive defender.

Mendy impressed with Monaco last season and will now have to deal with the pressure of being the world’s most expensive defender at Man City.

Kyle Walker The fee for Kyle Walker has been criticised but he could be worth every penny.

City have been on the lookout for full-backs and made Spurs’ right-back Walker the joint-most expensive defender in history for a fee that will reach £50m with add-ons.

Alexandre Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon for a club-record transfer fee. Arsenal moved quickly to snap up Alexandre Lacazette.

He almost moved to Atletico Madrid but due to their transfer ban, Lacazette arrived at Arsenal from Lyon this summer instead.

r212891 1296x729 16 9 Bernardo Silva was the first big deal through the door.

Portugal international Silva won Ligue 1 with Monaco last season and caught the eye of Pep Guardiola, who snapped him up in June before any other major clubs had done business.

r231372 1296x729 16 9 Manchester United were interested in Tiemoue Bakayoko but Chelsea pounced.

Another starlet from Monaco’s Ligue 1 winning side, Bakayoko chose to line up alongside N’Golo Kante in a fearsome looking midfield at Chelsea.

Leonardo Bonucci Leonardo Bonucci made the shock choice to move on from the champions.

It is a transfer that rocked Italy as Milan kept up their spending spree by stealing one of Juventus’ best players. Instead of heading off to Chelsea, Bonucci chose to stay in Serie A.

r220008 1296x729 16 9 The France international is tipped for a bright future.

With another €15m in add-ons to come, Bayern have secured their future with the signing of the 22-year-old midfielder.

Ederson Ederson is now the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.

With Joe Hart farmed out on loan and Claudio Bravo not trusted, Pep Guardiola spent a record fee for a goalkeeper on the 23-year-old Brazilian stopper. He could be No. 1.

r224444 1296x729 16 9 Liverpool were after a winger with pace and they got him.

Salah did not impress too much during his spell at Chelsea a few years back, but Liverpool will hope he can overcome his past.

r229343 1296x729 16 9 Rudiger will be comfortable in Chelsea’s back three.

The Roma defender made it clear it was Antonio Conte that persuaded him to move to the Premier League and the 24-year-old has plenty of time to develop his game.

r152151 1296x729 16 9 The Portugal international is blossoming with Cristiano Ronaldo.

AC Milan continued their summer of spending by adding the 21-year-old forward to their strikeforce. Big things are expected.

r196370 1296x729 16 9 Vitolo is still just 27 and has room to grow.

Atletico Madrid are under a transfer ban until January 2018 but signed the Spain winger and immediately loaned him out to Las Palmas.

r220610 1296x729 16 9 Victor Lindelof had been tracked by United for some time.

The Sweden international was linked with a move to Old Trafford for almost six months and finally completed the deal in June as Jose Mourinho got his first signing of the summer.
