In a recent appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Daniel Radcliffe, the star of the “Harry Potter” franchise, admitted to having childhood crushes on both Barrymore and Cameron Diaz. The revelation came as Barrymore asked Radcliffe about his teenage crushes, to which he replied, “Yes, I did have posters of both [of] you.”
Barrymore was visibly excited by the admission, calling it “so cool” and promising to “milk this for all it’s worth.” In honor of Radcliffe’s childhood crushes, she and Diaz collaborated on a special video for the show. In the video, Barrymore teased Radcliffe’s upcoming appearance on the show, while Diaz sported an ever-growing collection of “Harry Potter” gear. The video ended with the pair jumping on a broomstick and “flying” away.
Radcliffe was thrilled by the video, saying, “I mean, seriously, if you could tell [a] 10-year-old or 11-year-old me … that would happen one day … This is a weird, cool life moment. Thank you, Miss Diaz.”

Interestingly, Radcliffe’s childhood crushes on Diaz and Barrymore were an open secret on the set of “Harry Potter.” In his memoir “Beyond the Wand,” actor Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) explained that Radcliffe brought a picture of Diaz to assist him during filming. As the producers were increasingly asking them to look at different things during a broomstick scene, “We chose pictures of something or somebody close to our hearts. Daniel Radcliffe had a picture of a particularly beautiful Cameron Diaz,” Felton wrote.
Radcliffe has been in the public eye since he was a child, and his career has continued to flourish since the end of the “Harry Potter” franchise. He has starred in a number of successful films, including “Swiss Army Man” and “Now You See Me 2,” and has received critical acclaim for his work on stage in productions such as “Equus” and “The Cripple of Inishmaan.”

Despite his success, Radcliffe has remained humble and down-to-earth, and his admission of childhood crushes on Diaz and Barrymore only serves to endear him to his fans even more. It’s clear that he is grateful for the opportunities that his career has afforded him, and he is not afraid to show his appreciation for those who have helped him along the way.
In the end, Radcliffe’s crushes on Diaz and Barrymore may have been fleeting, but they serve as a reminder that even the biggest stars are human and have their own personal idols and inspirations. And who knows? Maybe one day, a young fan will look up to Radcliffe in the same way that he once looked up to Diaz and Barrymore.
