Cubbi Thompson has spent years building an adult entertainment career around something that sounds simple but is often difficult online: showing her real personality.

Thompson has credited that decision with helping her career grow more quickly. Her humour and enthusiasm gave viewers something to remember beyond her physical appearance.
Her distinctive two-tone hairstyle also became part of her public identity. She has explained that the white section was originally influenced by the fictional character Bellatrix Lestrange, although the look later became something closely associated with Thompson herself.

Thompson’s earlier career was mainly based around online platforms.

Thompson entered her first studio production feeling nervous.

One project placed her in the role of a demanding chef, which required her to behave in a much more aggressive manner than her friends were used to seeing. She reportedly practised the performance with friends before filming because she wanted the anger to appear convincing.
The variety became part of the appeal. One production could involve a serious character, while another might be deliberately ridiculous or comedic.

Existing followers may not always respond positively when a creator changes direction. Thompson tried to avoid surprising her audience by discussing the transition before her first major studio release appeared.

Although the title described her as “new,” Thompson already had years of experience in adult entertainment. She was new mainly to studio performance and larger film productions.
Winning the award suggested that she had successfully adapted her existing skills to a different part of the industry.
