In a heartwarming Christmas message, the Moderator and Prelate of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, His Eminence Dr. Ekpenyong Akpanika, has conveyed a message of hope, emphasizing that despite the challenges faced by Nigerians, there is still hope for the nation and the world at large.

Speaking from Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, Dr. Akpanika acknowledged the harsh realities many are enduring, with widespread hunger, deprivation, and desperate living conditions prevailing globally. The prelate underscored the significance of Christmas, stating, “Jesus came into the world to save humanity from sin and its consequences which is separation from God and the foreboding prospect of eternal condemnation in Hell.” He emphasized that Jesus Christ’s arrival was intended to restore hope, bring peace to earth, and foster goodwill among all people.

Dr. Akpanika urged everyone to embrace the spirit of Christmas, celebrating with joy and the hope that God will dispel the darkness of the night. He called upon individuals to remember Nigeria in their prayers, assuring them that divine intervention would alleviate their pains and disappointments.
