Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu gives update after testing positive for COVID-19

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu says he has recovered from a COVID-19 infection.

the presidential spokesman on Saturday revealed that he tested positive for the virus.

According to reports, other officials at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, also contracted the disease which had killed thousands of Nigerians since 2020.

In an update on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday, Mr. Garba thanked “Almighty Allah for my speedy recovery” from the coronavirus.

He expressed gratitude to those who prayed and reached out to him when his COVID-19 status was disclosed in the media.

The post reads, “I thank Almighty Allah for my speedy recovery from COVID-19. My prayers and deepest respect are for all of you, who called or texted expressing your concerns for me.

“May all of our countrymen and women still afflicted with the virus fight this scourge with all their might and get well soon”.
