The Grammy-winning artist has achieved the highest-grossing tour by an African artist, raking in a staggering $15.5 million from just 15 shows, with revenue from six more concerts yet to be reported.

American tour statistics company, Touring Data, revealed the remarkable achievement on social media platform X on Thursday, sending shockwaves through the music industry. This milestone is a testament to Burna Boy’s massive global appeal and his ability to draw in massive crowds.

One of the most impressive aspects of the tour is the sheer revenue generated by each concert. Burna Boy’s show at the Capital One Arena in Washington on March 7, 2024, grossed an astonishing $1.725 million, making it the highest-grossing arena-concert by an African artist in the United States. This surpasses his own record at TD Garden in Boston, solidifying his position as a trailblazer in the music industry.

Furthermore, his concert at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on March 12 was the most expensive concert by an African artist in history, with an average ticket price of $172.76. This is a clear indication of his massive fan base and their willingness to pay top dollar to experience his electrifying performances.

In addition to his remarkable achievements in the United States, Burna Boy’s Canadian tour also broke records, grossing an impressive $5.7 million from just six shows. This is the highest-grossing tour by an African artist in Canada, further solidifying his status as a global superstar.

The ‘I Told Them’ tour has been a phenomenal success, with an average revenue of $1,031,293 per show and 10,443 tickets sold per concert. The average ticket price was $98.75, indicating the high demand for Burna Boy’s live performances.

Touring Data’s tweet, which announced the record-breaking achievement, read: ““I TOLD THEM…, @burnaboy. $15,469,395 Revenue ($1,031,293 avg.). 156,646 Tickets Sold (10,443 avg.). $98.75 Average Price. 15/21 Reported Shows.”
