Arsenal Legend Robert Pires Urges Club to Sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton

Former Arsenal midfielder and legend Robert Pires has urged his former club to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton this summer. Pires said that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been interested in the young midfielder for a long time and believes that he has all the tools necessary to succeed at Arsenal.

Caicedo, who is currently playing for Brighton, is keen to leave the club this summer and has been linked with a move to Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool. The 19-year-old midfielder has impressed in his debut season in the Premier League, making 25 appearances for Brighton.

Speaking with El Canal del Futbol, Pires was asked for his opinion on Caicedo’s future and replied, “I hope he signs for Arsenal this summer. Mikel Arteta wants to sign him since a long time. He’s got all the tools needed to succeed at Arsenal. The club are willing to pay big money for him, and that is testament to his ability.”

Caicedo has been described as a box-to-box midfielder with excellent technical ability and a good range of passing. He is also known for his work rate and ability to win the ball back in midfield. Caicedo has been compared to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba due to his playing style and physical attributes.

Arsenal has been linked with several midfielders this summer, including Ruben Neves from Wolves and Yves Bissouma from Brighton. However, according to Pires, Caicedo should be a priority for the club.
