The Adegbodu Twins robbery incident has left many people uneasy, and honestly, it’s hard not to feel that way. Just days after laying one of their own to rest, the family is now dealing with something else entirely — fear inside their own home.

For a lot of people who followed the story, the timing feels almost too much. Grief is already heavy on its own. Adding something like this… it just makes everything more complicated, more overwhelming than it already is.

The incident reportedly happened on a Tuesday night, around 9pm. Not too late, not too quiet — just one of those hours when people are usually settling in, maybe thinking the day is done. But for the family of the Adegbodu Twins, that night turned into something else.

A Home Already in Mourning, Now in Fear

From what was shared, armed robbers broke into the house while some family members were inside. That alone is enough to shake anyone, but in this case, it was even more unsettling because of who was present.

The wives of both Kehinde and his late twin brother were there, along with the children. You can only imagine how that must have felt — especially for the kids. Seeing strangers with weapons, not fully understanding what’s happening… it stays with you, I think.

Kehinde Adegbodu later spoke about the incident in a video, and his tone wasn’t dramatic or exaggerated. If anything, it sounded like someone trying to stay calm while clearly worried underneath.

According to him, the robbers took several items — clothes, shoes, phones, gold, and other valuables. Not everything, but enough to make it clear they were searching for something.

And that’s where things start to feel a bit more targeted.

Were They Looking for Burial Donations?

Kehinde suggested that the robbers might have come specifically for money that was donated during his brother’s burial. It’s not confirmed, but it’s a possibility that’s hard to ignore, especially given what was reportedly overheard.

He claimed that one of the robbers made a call during the incident, saying something along the lines of not finding any money in the house. That detail stands out. It doesn’t sound random. It sounds like they expected something to be there.

But according to Kehinde, there wasn’t.

He explained that the money donated for Taiwo Adegbodu’s burial had already been used. Part of it went into the funeral itself, and part was used to complete an unfinished building where Taiwo was eventually laid to rest.

It’s one of those explanations that makes sense, but also feels a bit sad when you think about it. The idea that people might assume money is just sitting somewhere after a burial… when in reality, most of it has already been spent on the process itself.

A Plea That Felt Personal

One part of Kehinde’s message that really stood out was when he started pleading — not just explaining, but actually asking for forgiveness, even though he said he didn’t believe he had done anything wrong.

That moment felt different.

“If you’re coming for me for offending you, please forgive me,” he said.

It’s not something you hear every day. It suggests fear, yes, but also uncertainty. Like he’s trying to cover every possible reason this might have happened, even ones that don’t make sense to him.

And maybe that’s what happens when something like this occurs. You start questioning everything. Who could be behind it? Was it random? Was it planned? Did someone pass along information?

There aren’t always clear answers.

A Family Asking for Peace

At the heart of all this is a simple request — safety. Kehinde made it clear that his family doesn’t feel secure anymore. And that’s understandable. Once something like this happens, it’s hard to go back to feeling normal right away.

There’s also this quiet frustration in his words. He mentioned not wanting their name to become known for bad news again. That line, in particular, feels heavy.

Because it shows that beyond the fear, there’s also a desire to protect their image, their story, their identity as something more than just headlines tied to tragedy.

And maybe that’s the part people don’t always see.

It’s not just about what was stolen. It’s about what was disrupted — a sense of peace, of privacy, of safety during a time that was already difficult.

For now, the family is left trying to move forward, still processing the loss of Taiwo, while also dealing with the aftermath of this incident.
