Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, co-stars of the Netflix film “Murder Mystery 2,” have been making headlines not just for their on-screen chemistry but also for their off-screen friendship. During a press junket to promote their movie, the two actors were bombarded with questions about Aniston’s love life, prompting Sandler to reveal his thoughts on the matter.

When asked by Extra TV why he enjoys working with Aniston so much, Sandler had nothing but good things to say about his friend. “Aniston is a true family member. I love her. She’s always on your side. She’s great to my entire family. She’s great to my kids,” he gushed. “Tight with my wife. I’ve known her forever, and I’m not happy seeing her,” he added.

However, when asked if he had ever tried to set Aniston up with anyone, Sandler quickly shut down the idea. “Nobody I know is worth Aniston taking a look at. All my friends are too insane,” he joked. “But I just want her to always be happy, and if she falls in love with somebody, I hope it’s the nicest guy on the planet because she is pure fun.”

This isn’t the first time Aniston’s love life has been a topic of discussion during her press tours. In a recent interview on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” the actress joked that Sandler doesn’t always approve of her relationships. “If I get anything from him, it’s, ‘What are you doing?’ Usually based on someone I’m dating,” she quipped.

Aniston’s love life has been in the public eye for years, especially since her highly-publicized divorce from actor Justin Theroux in 2017. Since then, she has been linked to several high-profile men, including Brad Pitt, with whom she was married from 2000 to 2005.

Despite the scrutiny, Aniston has remained steadfast in her desire for privacy when it comes to her personal life. In a 2018 interview with InStyle, the actress said, “It’s pretty crazy. The misconceptions are ‘Jen can’t keep a man,’ and ‘Jen refuses to have a baby because she’s selfish and committed to her career.’ Or that I’m sad and heartbroken. First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken. And second, those are reckless assumptions.”

Aniston has also been vocal about the double standards women face in Hollywood when it comes to their relationships. In a 2016 interview with Marie Claire, the actress said, “My marital status has been shamed; my divorce status was shamed; my lack of a mate had been shamed; my nipples have been shamed. It’s like, Why are we only looking at women through this particular lens of picking us apart? Why are we listening to it? I just thought: I have worked too hard in this life and this career to be whittled down to a sad, childless human.”

Despite the constant scrutiny, Aniston has remained positive and focused on her career. In addition to her work on “Murder Mystery 2,” the actress recently starred in the Apple TV+ drama “The Morning Show,” which earned her a SAG Award for Best Female Actor in a Drama Series.

As for her personal life, Aniston is currently single and enjoying her independence. In a 2020 interview with Howard Stern, the actress said, “I’m very busy. For now, I’m good. I’m in a peaceful place. I have a job that I love, I have people in my life who are everything to me, and I have beautiful dogs.”
