Lagos, Nigeria – Craneburg Construction Company Limited, a renowned construction firm in Nigeria, has reaffirmed its commitment to the timely completion of the Eti-Osa-Lekki-Epe Expressway (Phase IIB) reconstruction project. In a statement released on Wednesday, the company emphasized its dedication to implementing a robust traffic management system and called for the cooperation of all stakeholders and Lagosians.

Recognizing the potential inconvenience caused by construction works, Craneburg assured commuters and surrounding communities that it would work closely with relevant government agencies to minimize disruptions. The company highlighted its collaboration with the Lagos State Government, including the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Neighborhood Watch.

As is typical for projects of this magnitude, traffic diversions will be implemented periodically to accommodate the construction works. This will result in a reduction in the number of available lanes for road users. Additionally, breakdowns and accidents involving heavy-duty vehicles, which are prevalent in this area, can further impede traffic flow. To mitigate these challenges, Craneburg has implemented various measures under the project, including the deployment of road signs and diversion barriers, the maintenance of usable lanes free from potholes, and the execution of an accelerated and strategic daytime and nighttime works program. The company has also invested in well-trained and motivated traffic management personnel to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Accompanying the statement were pictorial depictions of the road’s previous and current states, providing visual evidence of the improvements made under the project.

Craneburg urged road users to exercise patience, cooperation, and adherence to traffic regulations throughout the construction period. Actions such as non-compliance with road signs and regulations, disobedience to traffic management personnel, vehicle breakdowns causing road obstructions, and impatient driving can significantly impact traffic management efforts.

Craneburg remains committed to achieving this goal and calls for the understanding and cooperation of road users during the ongoing construction.
