Former Chelsea man Frank Leboeuf has told the club to go for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez if they cannot get Andre Onana from Inter Milan.

He said the Argentine is another candidate for the Chelsea goalkeeper position, adding that he would love to see the Aston Villa shot-stopper at the West London outfit.

He believes that while Martinez can upset opposition fans, supporters would love him if he was at Stamford Bridge.

Martinez is known for his rather rowdy antics for both club and country and antics aside, the Frenchman believes the goalkeeper is a fantastic player.

He wrote, “[Emi] Martinez is a player you don’t like, but when he plays for you, you love him! He’s a great goalkeeper. I’d like to see him at Chelsea.

“But [Aston] Villa finished above Chelsea last season so I don’t know if they would sell him or if he would come.”
