Tottenham Hotspur’s Forward, Arnaut Danjuma, has expressed his regret for his time at the club. Danjuma will not continue with Tottenham beyond the summer, and according to sources, the club will not trigger the £27 million option to buy the Netherlands international who joined on loan in January from Villarreal.

The forward grew a strong fan base after scoring his debut goal against Preston in the FA Cup, having hijacked his move to Everton in January. Unfortunately, despite scoring one more goal, Danjuma made only 12 appearances for Spurs, with 11 of them off the bench, under interim managers Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason. He made only 49 minutes under Antonio Conte, who recently took over as the club’s manager.

Danjuma bid the club goodbye on Wednesday and made some comments that may have been pointing to Conte and his predecessors. He stated on his social media page that “It is very difficult to sum up the season we’ve all had in words. Many highs and lows, yet I tried to give my all, anytime, at any moment, for you all.” He added, “An indifferent return to the Premier League for me. I’d be lying if I wasn’t disappointed with how the season ended for the club, the fans, and me.”

Despite his disappointment, Danjuma believes in his ability to influence games and make a significant impact. He expressed his willingness to turn back the clock and be given the chance to demonstrate that, assuring his fans that he would not hesitate to take advantage of such a chance.

It is unclear what the future holds for the 24-year-old forward, but his performance over the years has caught the attention of several European clubs. His transfer to Tottenham sparked excitement among fans, but unfortunately, his time at the club was cut short.

The Tottenham Hotspur management has yet to release a statement regarding Danjuma’s exit. However, reports suggest that the club is already considering the addition of new players during the transfer window, with hopes of strengthening the squad ahead of the new season.

With the Premier League and various football leagues around the world gradually returning to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact, next season promises to be an exciting one for fans worldwide. Tottenham Hotspur fans, in particular, have expressed their expectations for the upcoming season, with many hoping the club can regain its former glory.
