Olympian Ryan Lochte, wife Kayla Rae Reid expecting baby no. 2

Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and his wife, Playboy model Kayla Rae Reid, are expanding their family!

On Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, the pro athlete took to Instagram to announce that the married pair are expecting their second child together.

“BOOM!!!! Baby number 2! Can’t wait to bring my fam of 4 to #tokyo2020,” Lochte wrote to his 926,000 followers, captioning a sweet snapshot of the proud parents holding their 17-month-old son, Caiden Zane, and a sonogram. He added the hashtags, “#blessed #Lochte4 #familyjustgotbigger.”

For her part, Reid shared the same pic, writing, “We are SO SO EXCITED! Baby #2.” While revealing that their newest addition is expected to arrive in June 2019, she added, “We can’t wait to meet you already!”

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Lochte, 34, and Reid, 27, tied the knot at a courthouse in Gainesville, Fla. in January 2018, after getting engaged in October 2016 and welcoming their first child in June 2017. While announcing their son’s birth on social media, the new dad wrote, “Never seen a miracle happen before. Until this morning at 5:46am when Caiden Zane Lochte was born. Can’t stop crying from tears of joy. Dream come true!”

Readers may already be aware that the happy couple married for a second time this past September, exchanging their vows in front of 100 guests in a romantic, outdoor ceremony held at Monroe Estate in Palm Springs, Calif. As Lochte explained to People magazine at the time, “We wanted Caiden to be old enough to walk down the aisle. One of our visions was to have him be able to be the ring bearer, so it’s perfect timing!”

A number of other celeb pairings have shared exciting baby announcements of their own in recent weeks — including One Tree Hill alum Jana Kramer, who’s welcomed her second child with her footballer husband Mike Caussin, a baby boy named Jace Joseph. “Our hearts are so full. Thank you to all of our friends and family..and all of you who have supported Mike and I, and our growing family,” the actress-singer, who sadly suffered multiple miscarriages last year, wrote on social media on Thursday, Nov. 29. “We are so blessed, and a huge thank you to @avawomen for helping us grow our family. #rainbowbaby #blessed.” Kramer and Caussin are also mom and dad to two-year-old daughter, Jolie.
