As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the job market, one reality television star is sharing his experience of being laid off and his journey to finding a new job. Gino Palazzolo, of the hit show “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days,” recently revealed that he was let go from his job as an automotive engineer due to the pandemic.
In a candid interview with InTouch, Palazzolo shared how he has been able to cope with this challenging period. “Because of the pandemic, I got laid off from my job [as] an automotive engineer about seven months ago,” he noted. “But since I’ve been smart with my savings, I thankfully have been able to send money to help Jasmine [Pineda] out.”
But Palazzolo’s situation has since changed. According to his LinkedIn page, he is currently a product development engineer with Faurecia, a French multinational automotive parts manufacturer. He joined the company in June 2021, after spending just over a year as an engineering program manager with Ford Motor Company.
Palazzolo’s LinkedIn profile also underscores his vast experience in the automotive industry, with a career that spans back to 1993. He has held numerous roles related to product engineering for car companies, showcasing his expertise in the field. Prior to diving into the world of engineering, Palazzolo earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Oakland University.
Despite his thriving career, Palazzolo remains dedicated to appearing on reality television alongside his girlfriend, Jasmine Pineda. Their journey on “90 Day Fiancé” has captivated viewers, as the couple navigates the challenges of a long-distance relationship and cultural differences.
Palazzolo’s story highlights the importance of adaptability and resilience during uncertain times. While the pandemic created unexpected job loss, Palazzolo’s smart financial choices allowed him to weather the storm and find a new opportunity. His impressive background and dedication to his work are a testament to the diverse skill sets that can be utilized in the automotive industry.
As the world continues to grapple with the pandemic and its economic impact, Palazzolo serves as an inspiration to those who have felt the sting of job loss. With determination and a willingness to explore new opportunities, it’s possible to find success even in the toughest of times.
