Thursday was another night of great performances for African players in the NBA, as most of them helped lead their teams to well-deserved victories.

Algerian-French guard Evan Fournier had 22 points, three rebounds and three assists, while Congolese center Bismack Biyombo scored 10 points and grabbed seven boards in the Orlando Magic’s 100-98 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Gambian-German guard Dennis Schroder had 19 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Hawks.

Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam’s 14 points, five rebounds and six assists, saw the Toronto Raptors beat the New York Knicks 113-88. Congolese forward Serge Ibaka had 13 points and eight rebounds, while Nigerian-British forward OG Anunoby put up six points and three rebounds.

Rwandan-French rookie guard Frank Ntilikina put up five points, two rebounds and five assists in his 21 minutes on the floor for the New York.

The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Charlotte Hornets 109-103 on the back of Nigerian forward Al-Farouq Aminu’s six points, 15 rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Cameroonian-French guard Nicolas Batum had 11 points, two rebounds, five assists and four steals for Buzz City.

Tunisian center Salah Mejri 10 points, five rebounds and two blocks in the Dallas Maverick’s 103-121 losing effort against the Golden State Warriors.

In other results, the Boston Celtics beat the Washington Wizards 110-104, Nigerian and Egyptian forwards, Semi Ojeleye and Abdel Nader, did not take to the floor, and the Los Angeles Lakers to advantage of the absence of Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony and defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 106-81.
