New Year’s Eve Wedding at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles

From the beaches to the hills, Los Angeles has more than enough dreamy ceremony locations for couples to explore. But when you’re planning a New Year’s Eve wedding, complete with a live band, rowdy guests, and late-night snacks, it’s go big or go home! And we can’t think of a better way to “go big” than the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, where you’re immediately greeted by—what else?!—a skeletal T-Rex upon entry. Mike + Andrea’s union ushered in the year with love, fun, whimsy, and elegance, and Rachel Gulotta Photography was there to experience the celebration from day to night!

Rachel tells us,  Mike + Andrea’s wedding was the first of many amazing weddings to come from Feathered Arrow Events. The morning started at the DTLA Ace Hotel, which we officially totally recommend always doing. The moody light, textured concrete walls and floors, and eclectic details provided one of the best getting ready backdrops we’ve seen to date. The color palette was a dreamy array of nude/blush/gold tones, which made their New Year theme really shine through in the most elegant way imagined. After the first look on their private balcony and dancing on top of Los Angeles in Elysian Park, the party started at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. The whole thing unfolded with the biggest wedding party we’ve ever encountered (I’m telling you, people are just drawn to these two). The night ended with a countdown into 2017 and (of course) a late night snack of cookies and milk.
