With the legal battle between Kylie Jenner and Kylie Minogue officially over, the latter recently opened up about the situation in a new interview. During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” the “In Your Eyes” singer revealed that it’s all water under the bridge. “It was just business, obviously,” she explained. “When I was named Kylie… I think I’ve met one person older than me called Kylie, so it’s kind of unusual.” The Grammy award-winner then went on to say that she “spent a lifetime” cultivating and protecting her brand before saying the legal maneuver was a necessary move. “We came to an agreement,” she added.
This isn’t the first time Minogue has stated that there was no bad blood between herself and Jenner. During a 2018 interview with Rolling Stone, the beloved music icon echoed similar sentiments to her recent sit down with Cohen. “It’s awkward because fans get so loyal and vocal, and we love that! But it was nothing personal at all, I’m at pains to say,” she revealed. “Trademark is long, it’s boring, it’s expensive, and it’s really important… It was just causing confusion with customers.” While Jenner — who created a billion-dollar company under Kylie Cosmetics — has remained mum on the topic, it’s safe to say the two Kylies have moved on and are enjoying their respective brands.
