Bradbury Lewis seeks an eager, forward-thinking professional with 5+ years public relations experience and an extensive working knowledge of the men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories industry. The desired candidate is laser-focused, accountable, independent and polished with the ability to quickly and efficiently address client needs. A comprehensive database of strong senior and director level media contacts across business, fashion and lifestyle outlets a must. He or she is a strategist, detail-oriented and meticulous with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. A proven track record of feature development and secured coverage in top titles must be presented along with examples of client innovation and senior level editorial references.
An overview of responsibilities includes:
PRINT AND DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS AND STRATEGY
- Draft and execute account strategies that include feature and brand/founder profiles, timely pitch angles and creative activations to create and foster news and momentum
- Maintain high-level relationships with key press contacts and stylists while developing new contacts on behalf of clients
- Engage in proactive media outreach to keep accounts top of mind and ensure consistent media coverage
- Manage and execute press events including NYFW runway shows/presentations, new product launches and other special events
- Lead and participate in any/all agency special events and Fashion Week responsibilities
CLIENT + TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Manage account activity and client interaction, driving the day-to-day success of multiple accounts. Candidate will execute tasks in a seamless and timely manner, meeting deadlines and anticipating client needs
- Lead client-facing communication including in-person meetings and status calls, building a strong relationship based on credibility, trust and expert knowledge
- Train and manage junior staff members of the team to ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently
- Oversee product placement (with assistance from junior staff) including sample tracking, clipping and servicing placements, deskside appointments and trend pitching
- Responsible for client reporting via comprehensive monthly status and sample traffic reports
INFLUENCER + CELEBRITY ENGAGEMENT
- Maintain high-level relationships with key stylists and agents while developing new contacts on behalf of clients
- Ongoing identification of VIP/Influencers and potential collaboration opportunities for clients
The Ideal Candidate
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years public relations agency or in-house experience, working with high level media contacts and events
- Bachelor’s degree
- Established high-level relationships with key press and stylists and extensive knowledge of traditional and social media platforms
- Ability to manage multiple accounts
- Ability to manage up and down and collaborate well in teams of different sizes
- Ability to be productive, resourceful and proactive, while working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leading industry events from editor dinners, seasonal press previews to fashion presentations and runway shows
- Strategic and creative with excellent communications and writing skills
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Proficiency in and in-depth experience with Fashion GPS, both Sample and Event Management
